New Weblog, New Logo: REVEALED

Welcome to the Needham Consulting weblog.  I have not decided yet what the purpose of this weblog will be, nor even whether it will be maintained. Perhaps reader engagement is called for on this front.

What I did want to do here, with this post, is get started.  I suspect this weblog will evolve over time.  What it will be eventually will likely surprise us all.

What this weblog will most definitely not be for now is this: a place where I talk in specific detail about my work.  That is not really possible since my private consulting does not lend itself to a lot of public disclosure. Specifics about my consulting projects will be notable in their absence. Specific mention of clients will be similarly absent.

What I can talk about is trends in the industry in which I work: back-office technology for exchange-traded and over-the-counter products.  I have a fair amount of experience and expertise in that space.  I can talk extensively about topics in this area without disclosing client details, and I’m happy to do so.  Excited, even.

So, if there is a topic on which a reader would like for me to expound, please ask.

You can contact me via e-mail, or find me on Twitter.  Details are below.

Also, worth noting: my wife, Carolyn, is the one who worked with a design team and came up with the new logo for Needham Consulting, Ltd.  I think she did a pretty fabulous job, and I’m happy to have new business cards, notepads, and this website to show off her work.  Carolyn has plans for other promotional material featuring the new logo: golf shirts, golf balls, other items.  I can’t wait to see what she cooks up in this area.  I hope you all enjoy it too.

That’s all for now.
